The Social Security Administration announced this morning that benefits payments will rise 5.8 percent next year as a result of the annual cost-of-living (COLA) adjustment. That’s the biggest increase since 1982, and more than double last year’s increase. The Social Security Administration bases the COLA each year on third quarter inflation. More on this story in next week’s column.

This request is to determine the legality of COLA payments being
accessed by HUD Housing and not private sector. Every year HUD and
their Housing take 30% as general raise in rent. The private sector [landlords] DO NOT. Who gives them [HUD} the authority.
Actually only seniors have their COLA invaded by HUD. Is this the
methods used by Congress towards all SENIORS?

Why doesn’t someone get the NOTCH babies pd back NOW -that money would then come in the market place and it’s owed them.
About the stimulas pkg. for seniors - HUD says to apply by dec. 31st - money doesn’t have to be payed back - only your heirs have to pay when they get your house after your death, but they don’t say anything about what interest they will charge on money borrowed? Anyone know?
