Comeback for 401(k) matches?

Some companies that reduced or eliminated their matching 401(k) contributions in the recession are saying they intend to restore the benefit, according to Fidelity Investments. Out of the eight percent of companies that reduced or suspended their matches of employee contributions earlier this year, 27% have either reinstated their match already or plan to in 2010, a Fidelity survey shows.     This is interesting because the recession, as most Americans know it, is unfortunately having lingering effects. Most people would benefit from having a 401(k) plan because having a personal savings is a difficult thing to do in these economic times.
