Legislation extending the federal subsidy of COBRA health insurance benefits was introduced in the U.S. Senate. The bill largely mirrors the provision of legislation already introduced in the House of Representatives by Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pennsylvania).

The Senate bill was introduced by Senators Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Robert Casey (D-Pennsylvania). Click here to read details on the Senate bill.
