Benefits experts say COBRA subsidy will be extended

Employee benefits experts tell Business Insurance magazine that Congress almost certainly will extend the COBRA health care subsidy, which begins to expire today for some beneficiaries. Consensus seems to be the subsidy extension vote will occur in mid-December or later in the month, but no one seems sure about the details of the extension legislation.

    My 9 months utilizing Cobra subsidy is now terminated. My premiums are now $475. I cannot afford that. I am praying the bill passes, and soon. I have untill the end of December to pay my December premium. When will we know if there is an extension? when will we know if we can keep our insurance?
