The House of Representatives approved the Serve America Act, which includes a major boost for midlife career changers interested in non-profit work in the form of 100 Encore Fellowships across all 50 states and a major expansion of Americorps. President Obama is expected to sign the legislation when he returns from his eight-day trip to Europe. Via  Encore.org.
