50+ Peace Corps storiesOne of the most amazing ways to combine an encore career with volunteering is to join the Peace Corps. About five percent of Peace Corps members are over age 50, living abroad for a period of two to three years in fields ranging from teaching English to providing health care services or providing assistance to small businesses.

The Peace Corps has built a useful mini-website that includes video of volunteers telling their personal stories. The site also provides nuts-and-bolts information for people interested in applying. It’s worth checking out.
